Meet Jared Ellsworth, PA-C
Jared Ellsworth recently moved to Oklahoma, and has loved the welcoming, friendly, and family centered atmosphere found in Ardmore. He’s lived in 10 states, including Alaska, Ohio, Kansas, and Idaho. While in Idaho, he attended Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I). He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Nutrition.
Following his time in Idaho, he moved with his family to Hershey, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State College of Medicine. He completed a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.
During his time at the chocolate capital, he completed medical rotations at the Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. He did several rotations, including pediatric otolaryngology (Ear, nose, and throat), pediatric cardiology (heart) and pediatric psychiatry (mental health).
His favorite part about being a PA is caring for children! You may find him singing baby shark or the ABCs during a kids ear examination.
Jared is an advocate for building healthy people- the motto of Good Shepherd. That is why he moved to Oklahoma! He believes that “healthiness” is best achieved through a whole person approach. He loves educating patients on healthy eating, physical activity, sleep habits, and more. In addition, he believes healthy people begin in healthy families.
On a personal note, Jared and the love of his life, Millie, have been married for six years. They are the parents of 3 young boys. Their favorite place to be is at home as a family. They spend their time cooking together, going on walks and bike rides, and sitting outside on their patio. They love exploring the local hiking trails, playing soccer, pickleball, and frisbee. In Jared’s free time, he listens to audiobooks.
Jared has a strong faith in Jesus Christ and strives to treat others as he feels Christ would. He is active in his church where he teaches a Sunday school class for boys ages 6 through 9.
